At The Royal William, we are proud to be a traditional pub offering traditional pub sports and activities! We welcome customers aged between 16 and 90 and we offer something for everyone! We love that our regulars come in to chat about their day and we host friendly competitions in darts, dominoes and pool. Our games room has classic facilities and we welcome different darts clubs, pool teams and encourage friendly competition. Darts is a fantastic traditional pub game that almost anyone can enjoy. At The Royal William we have several dart boards that our customers are welcome to use and we host regular darts competitions that are both friendly and competitive. Darts is so popular with our locals and regulars that we can sometimes have over 3 competitions a week. If you would like to get involved or fancy a game with friendly, like-minded people, call in to our pub. The drinks are fantastic (real ales, ciders and more), the food is great (homemade sausage rolls and pork pies) and the company is welcoming!

At The Royal William we are a real community pub in Stowmarket with pool and other games available for all to get involved. Our pool competitions generally run once a week but our pool tables are available at all times. It doesn't matter what your age or ability is, if you fancy playing pool and enjoying a traditional real ale or cider, then The Royal William is the place to be. We are open 7 days a week. Pop down and we can even introduce to our local pool team captains!
Live music, entertainment and events
Because we are a big part of the local community, at The Royal William we often get involved with special events and host entertainment specials for our customers. Previously we have had a Caribbean food night, live music, karaoke and more! Our events are open to our regulars and we also love to see new faces from Stowmarket and also the surrounding areas of Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester and Cambridgeshire.
